Residents in Old Westbury are trying to build a lawsuit against the FAA over aircraft noise, News 12 Long Island has learned.
The mayor of Old Westbury sent letters to state and local officials asking them to file a lawsuit.
Just last week, the mayor of East Hills sent similar letters.
Village officials say residents are living in "intolerable conditions" because of loud noise from low flying planes and helicopters.
