The New York State Department of Transportation urged motorists Wednesday about closures of the left and center lanes of Sunrise Highway eastbound.

The closures were by Exit 46 near Carleton Avenue for emergency roadway repairs, the DOT says.

Commuters faced delays and were told to consider alternate routes. The DOT says the roads were expected to be open by Wednesday night.
