NYPD finalizes funeral plans for fallen officer Adeed Fayaz
Services will start at 10 a.m. at a Muslim community center in Coney Island.

The NYPD says services for late NYPD Officer Adeed Fayaz will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. A funeral will follow at 1:15 p.m.
On Wednesday morning, Fayaz’s fellow brothers and sisters in blue gathered outside of the 66th Precinct as a bunting was hung and flags were brought to half-staff to commemorate the loss.
The 26-year-old Long Island native was a five-year veteran of the NYPD, and he leaves behind a wife and two kids.
Fayaz was fatally shot in the head on Saturday night after attempting to purchase a car off of someone through Facebook Marketplace. 38-year-old Randy Jones is currently in police custody and faces charges of murder and attempted robbery.
