The NYPD held a press conference on Tuesday, asking the public for help in locating 13-year-old Garrett Warren and 11-year-old Alfa Barrie.
According to law enforcement officials, the children were last seen together at the intersection of Lenox Avenue and East 145th Street at around 6:45 p.m. on Friday, May 12.
The family of 11-year-old Barrie says they were unaware he and Warren knew each other prior to them going missing. The NYPD says that they have seen surveillance footage of the two boys together on Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Alfa Barrie was reported missing on Sunday morning, and Garrett Warren was reported missing on Monday afternoon. A harbor search was done as a precautionary measure, but there is no confirmation from law enforcement if the kids were swimming in any water.
