A water main break in Wantagh affected a handful of businesses Saturday morning on Railroad Avenue.

Liberty Water says the break was weather-related, and crews were working on repairs during the afternoon.

La Casa restaurant only lost water pressure for a couple hours and had to close for breakfast.

“Normally we open like 7:30 in the morning for breakfast,” Nolvia Hernandez said. “…I leave the sign closed to make sure until lunchtime.”

Hernandez says she had to buy bottled water to cook her rice, but thankfully the rest of her food goes straight in the oven.

A Liberty spokesperson says pressure should be restored to everyone Saturday night.
