Police are searching for four people connected to at least 31 robberies carried out within one week across the Bronx and Manhattan.
Video from an incident on May 31 shows a black car stop in front of a victim before they are robbed of their backpack and cellphone. The theft happened near the Cross Bronx Expressway and East 174 Street.
Officials say about an hour later, the same group robbed an MTA bus operator. News 12 was told they got away with a cellphone before driving off.
Police say the group seems to use the same method in all their robberies - they jump out of a dark colored car with guns drawn and steal from their victims.
The car involved in the incidents is described as either a black 2013 Volkswagen Passat or a black Mercedes Benz sedan.
