NYPD: 34-year-old man fatally stabbed in Brownsville

Police say Najee Berry was stabbed multiple times in the torso and back at a deli on Sutter Avenue and Junius Street around 6:50 a.m.

A 34-year-old man was fatally stabbed Tuesday morning in Brownsville, police say.
They say Najee Berry was stabbed multiple times in the torso and back at a deli on Sutter Avenue and Junius Street around 6:50 a.m.
Witnesses tell News 12 Berry collapsed outside the deli while trying to get help. Police attempted to revive him, but he succumbed to his injuries.
"He's like a son to me... it breaks my heart," said Betty Cary, a Brownsville resident who said she knows Berry.
Police have not yet released details surrounding how the fatal stabbing unfolded.
