The Shinnecock Indian Nation will reportedly close its annual powwow to outside visitors for the first time in over seven decades.
Newsday says the tribe will hold an internal gathering on Labor Day weekend.
The move comes as concerns about the coronavirus pandemic continue.
Tens of thousands of people from Long Island, the northeast and across the country usually travel to the East End for the annual event.
