Long Island YMCAs say they are in big financial trouble.
Newsday is reporting that they may not be able to bring back workers who were furloughed due to the pandemic.
Many of the YMCA's money-making programs, like fitness classes and day camps, are either closed or are still very limited.
There are eight YMCAs on Long Island.
With no timeline on when the Y can reopen, some of those branches could be forced to close.
