Parents of a Half Hollow Hills Central School District student allege that their son was choked and stomped on while playing lacrosse.
The Mihos family says their eighth-grade son suffered bruising and injuries to his back at the end of a practice in February. They are now preparing to file a lawsuit against the district for a failure to investigate the incident.
The student say at least three different students were involved.
"I still had the wind knocked out of me, and one of the kids put me in a chokehold and slammed me onto the ground," the student says. "And the other one started stomping on me."
The Half Hollow Hills Central School District says it cannot comment on pending litigation.
