News 12's Drew Scott signing off after decades of sharing LI stories

News 12 Anchor and Reporter Drew Scott is signing off after decades of telling Long Islanders' stories.
An award-winning reporter who's been in the news business for 47 years, Drew joined News 12 Long Island in 1997 and has spent the past 16 years anchoring weekend broadcasts. He's filed more than 9,000 stories.
"You've been an amazing audience, and my colleagues have been a second family to me," Drew says. "I thank all of you for that."
Drew now plans to spend his weekends with his family. He also will keep busy working to fight opioid addiction in the memory of his beloved granddaughter, Hallie Rae Ulrich.
