Everything is just about set for the U.S. Open golf championship, which begins June 14 in Southampton, including a new traffic light.

The temporary traffic signal is just west of Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, where the event is being held. It's located at County Road 39 at the Shrubland Road intersection.

Officials say the light was installed to control traffic in the expected highly congested area. However, it will be a blinking yellow light for majority of the time, and will only turn red if needed.
