The Nassau County Police Department announced that it will be providing updated information on a 1997 homicide investigation.
The press briefing is regarding the dismembered remains of a victim known only as "Peaches." The female victim is called that because of a tattoo she had.
The woman's chest was found in a container in a wooded area of Hempstead Lake State Park in June 1997. Other remains were found along Ocean Parkway in 2011.
FBI data also say that DNA links "Peaches" to a toddler who was found buried on Gilgo Beach.
It will take place at 11 a.m. at Nassau County Police Headquarters in Mineola.
