Nassau police: Luis Vuitton handbag, jewelry taken during Jericho home burglary
Detectives say one or more suspects entered the home after smashing a sliding glass door in the back of the house.

Nassau County police say a brown Louis Vuitton handbag and jewelry worth close to $7,000 were taken from a Jericho home during a Friday night burglary.
It happened on Mellow Lane at 10:45 p.m.
Detectives say one or more suspects entered the home after smashing a sliding glass door in the back of the house.
“A couple of months before, there was another burglary down on the other side,” said Neighbor Eyi Chen.
George A. Jackson Elementary School and a park are located behind the home that was burglarized.
Some neighbors said they installed Ring and security cameras to avoid something like this from happening to them.
“This neighborhood is pretty good though. We have police sometimes patrolling around,” said Chen.
Police said Saturday night that they did not have a description of the suspect or suspects. They ask anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
