Police are stepping up their search for a missing teacher from Bethpage. Traffic on the northbound side of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway was at a standstill during the morning commute Wednesday. Police stopped cars and handed out missing person fliers near the location where Leah Walsh's car was found abandoned.According to police, Walsh's husband, Bill Walsh, says he received a text message from his wife Monday morning while she was on her way to work in Glen Cove.Her father then found her car on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway with a flat tire. Police say her purse was just feet away, but her cell phone was missing. Police say she was driving a black 2005 Ford Focus with a large Mets sticker on the back windshield. Police are treating Walsh's disappearance as a missing persons case and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
