Trevor Bauer just set the franchise record for strikeouts in a game.
The former Cy Young Award winner recorded a dominating 15 strikeouts in the team's win over Gastonia on Tuesday night.
The 10-year major league pitcher now leads the Atlantic League in wins, earned run average, strikeouts and innings pitched.
"When I came here, I said what's the franchise record, league record for strikeouts? So, I set a goal for myself and to hit the goal is really rewarding for me, definitely, special night,” Bauer said.
The previous record of 14 strikeouts was reached four different times, most recently in 2018.
