The Nassau County Legislative Rules Committee unanimously voted Wednesday to release an environmental impact study related to bringing a casino to the Nassau Coliseum.
The full Legislature now has to vote on the measure. If approved, a public hearing will be held.
The environmental impact report was the center of a state Supreme Court ruling on the future of the Nassau Hub.
A judge struck down a lease deal between Nassau County and the Las Vegas Sands, saying an environmental study had to be done first.
