Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman says the police force is prepared for the arrival of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Sunday.
“Our Nassau police, state, federal and local partners all working together to make sure Prime Minister Modi is safe," said Blakeman.
Over 24,000 people are expected to attend the event. People who News 12 spoke with had mixed reactions to the world leader’s visit.
There are planned protests that will be taking place outside the Coliseum, and the county ensured its residents that Nassau is the safest place to hold an event like this.
