MTA: Person fatally struck by LIRR train near Kings Park
There was no injury to passengers or crew on the train as a result of the incident.

The MTA says it happened west of the Kings Park station, just after 5:30 p.m.
It says the train had scheduled service from Hunters Points to Port Jefferson and was traveling eastbound when it struck a person who was not authorized to be on the tracks, west of the Kings Park Station.
There was no injury to passengers or crew on the train as a result of the incident.
The MTA says there was a temporary suspension of train service, but it has since been restored.
