The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) says it has come up with new ways to handle snow and ice, which is likely to make for a better commute this coming winter.
The MTA says the Long Island Rail Road has beefed up its public information office following complaints about lack of communication during last year's storms.
The railroad also has three new jet snow blowers that use super-heated air to melt snow on the tracks, as well as an improved track-riding plow.
