Mount Sinai South Nassau updates ER visitor policy due to surge in COVID-19 cases
Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside and Long Beach have updated their visitors policy due to the recent surge in COVID-19.
Effective today and until further notice, the Oceanside and Long Beach emergency departments and the infusion center will not permit any visitors. Only one healthy adult parent or caregiver will be permitted to accompany a pediatric patient in the emergency department.
The visiting hours for the hospital’s medical/surgical and critical care units will be from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Only one healthy adult visitor is permitted per patient per day.
Visitation for patients in the transitional care unit must be arranged by appointment only between the hours of 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
All visitors will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result within the past 72 hours.
