A mother and her two daughters were hit by a car in Hicksville on Christmas Eve.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. while the family was walking in the intersection on Old Country Road near Newbridge Road.
News 12 was told that the mother and her 4-year-old daughter are in critical condition. The 11-year-old girl is said to be in critical, but stable condition. All three were taken to Nassau University Medical Center.
Police have not released their identities.
The 39-year-old driver stayed at the scene. No charges have been filed.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
