News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Krystal Ellis says summer-like weather will be with us for much of the upcoming week with a few chances for a shower or storm to pass through on Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
WHAT'S NEXT: The weather looks typical for late July through much of the week with a few chances for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. The temperatures and humidity gradually rise into the 90s by the middle of the week. The spike in the heat and humidity will likely cause some heat alerts to be issued by midweek and toward the start of next weekend. 
MONDAY: Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine. Muggy with highs near 85.
MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a stray shower or storm overnight. Lows near 70.
TUESDAY: Partly sunny with a chance for a late day shower or storm into Tuesday night. Muggy with highs near 85. Lows near 72.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny, hot and humid with highs near 87. Real Feel: 91-97. Lows near 74. 
THURSDAY: Sunny, very hot and humid with highs near 88. Real Feel: 92-96. Chance for a late day pop-up shower or storm. Lows near 72.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, very hot and humid with highs near 91. Real Feel: 94-99. More afternoon clouds along with shower chances developing, especially at night. Lows near 72.
