The City of Glen Cove will allow the New York City Water Taxi to use their ferry terminal during the Long Island Rail Road strike.

Officials approved two resolutions at Tuesday’s City Council meeting that would help NYU Langone Health employees get to and from work on weekdays.

The MTA says there is no special plan in place for first responders who rely on the train to get to work during the strike.

One of the two resolutions, which were added to the agenda right as the meeting began, authorizes an agreement for NYU Langone to pay the city to use the terminal.

The second resolution is a license agreement between the city and New York Water Taxi to use the terminal.
