A Huntington Station class got a visit from Air Force Staff Sgt. Zach Taillie after months of sending him pen pal letters.
Taillie says he became fond of Dominick Pastore, a fifth-grader at Maplewood Intermediate School, who sent him drawings and said he wanted to become a Navy SEAL.
As a "thank you" for the letters, Taillie gave Dominick an American flag that had flown over a U.S. military base in Qatar.
Taillie, who recently returned from Iraq, says he read over 100 letters from the class.
