A Merrick man is looking for a living donor to help him recover for a rare liver disease.

David Mogel was diagnosed with an autoimmune hepatitis, a rare liver disease. He has been waiting a year for a transplant. He was in stable condition up until last July when he began to decline.

David's wife, Amy, has been taking care of him while dealing with many of her own health issues.

The Mogel family is looking for someone under 60 who has type O or A-2 blood to donate a portion of their liver.
