Medford homeowner charged with keeping alligator as pet

The Suffolk SPCA says a Medford homeowner was keeping a 6-foot alligator as a pet. The SPCA says it received a complaint the gator was being kept on the property of the home. The state DEC and SPCA removed

The Suffolk SPCA says a Medford homeowner was keeping a 6-foot alligator as a pet.
The SPCA says it received a complaint the gator was being kept on the property of the home.
The state DEC and SPCA removed the gator yesterday, and took it to a licensed wildlife sanctuary out of state.
The owner was charged by DEC officers.
