The teen accused of running over her sister in Port Jefferson Station on Tuesday has been charged with reckless endangerment.

Marissa Kovalovsky didn't deny hitting her sister, 17-year-old Skylar Kovalovsky. She claims Skylar jumped in front of the car after attacking their little cousin, who was in the passenger's seat. Kovalovsky tells News 12 that she meant to put the car in reverse, but it was in drive.

"She just likes attention, she's not really hurt," Kovalovsky says. "I didn't murder her, did I?"

Skylar sustained injuries to her leg after being pinned between the car, a chair in the driveway and the garage door at the Port Jefferson Station home.

Kovalovsky's attorney says the situation is just an argument between sisters, and his client has suffered from mental illness in the past, but she has her life on track.

The attorney says Kovalovsky will be living with her grandmother in Manhattan.
