Homicide investigation underway after man found dead in Uniondale

Police are searching for two people they say stole an elderly woman’s wallet in Huntington Station.

Detectives say a woman distracted the victim while the man stole her wallet from her purse.

The incident happened a few weeks ago at the ShopRite on New York Avenue.

News 12 has been told the credit cards from the wallet were used later in the day at Apple and Bloomingdale’s in the Walt Whitman Mall.
