Man sentenced to 4 years in prison after drunk driving incident sends cars into Amityville businesses

A Central Islip man has been sentenced to four years in prison after a drunk driving incident sent two vehicles into Bella Maison and The Amityville Men’s Shop.

A Central Islip man was sentenced to four years in prison after a drunk driving incident sent two cars into two Amityville businesses.

Jeffrey White was accused of driving drunk and crashing into two other vehicles. The crash’s impact sent the two vehicles into Bella Maison and The Amityville Men’s Shop. White appeared before a judge and pleaded not guilty.

The damage the two shops sustained was extensive.

The crash sent three people to the hospital with minor injuries.

The businesses have since reopened.
