Man dead in Allerton shooting; Multiple people in custody

A man is dead after five people were shot Monday in front of 686 Allerton Ave., police say. After firing shots, the gunmen tried to get away in a car and crashed on their way out.
Shots rang out minutes after 7:30 p.m. When police arrived on the scene, they found a 27-year-old shot in the left foot, a 21- and 25-year-old shot in the arm, and a 27-year-old was grazed in the leg. All four are expected to make full recoveries, however 24-year-old Henry Jamari died. He was shot multiple times throughout his body and died at the hospital shortly after his arrival.
Police say they were able to recover three guns on the scene. And shortly after shots were fired, the shooters tried to get away in a car that ultimately led them to crash just a few blocks away from the scene of the shooting. A 24-year-old man was hurt, he is a person of interest right now and is currently recovering from his injuries from the crash.
As of right now, police say they have multiple people in for questioning at the 49th Precinct and the investigation remains ongoing.
