A Huntington Manor firefighter died in an ATV accident.
Those who knew Mason Kraese said he loved to help others.
His dad, Phil Kraese, told News 12 that Mason was “one of a kind.”
He described his son’s smile as “contagious” and said he “would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone at any time.”
Kraese loved the fire department, his friends, his truck and country music, his dad said.
“He lived life to the fullest every day like it was his last day," he said.
Stacey Buonasera taught Kraese when he attended Walt Whitman High School in the South Huntington School District.
She said he was “always full of life,” was “very genuine” and had an “inner ability to connect with people.”
Phil Kraese said services will be held at Huntington Manor Fire Department in Huntington Station on Saturday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Firematic Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
His burial will be Monday in Melville.
