A Seaford man accused of making terroristic threats against students at Seaford Harbor Elementary School denied the charges against him in comments made exclusively to News 12.

Michael Marron was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead. Authorities say he yelled threats and obscenities at children during a sporting event Thursday on the school’s playground. The incident resulted in calls for a police presence during dismissal that day.

"I would never do that." Marron told News 12 after Saturday’s arraignment.

His backyard borders the elementary school's playing field.

"He should be away. He shouldn't be living so close to a school," explained neighbor Dean Giamundo.

News 12 reported prior incidents involving the defendant. In 2014, police say he was arrested for firing a BB-gun near the elementary school.

He was released from custody with an electronic monitoring ankle device. He is due back in court on June 3.

Marron is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and making terrorists threats.
