Nassau pools and beaches close due to thunderstorms and air quality

Nassau County is closing all outdoor County pools and beaches today due to Air Quality Index indicators and thunderstorms that may create flash flooding across the region.
The County also announced that the “Simply Stapleton” concert scheduled for tonight at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theater in Eisenhower Park is also rescheduled for Aug. 4 at 7 p.m.
Residents are advised to keep outdoor activities short if they cannot be rescheduled.
