Malfunctioning heating unit to blame for gas odor at The Promenade Shops at Clifton

Businesses at the shopping mall in Clifton managed to reopen after being shut down by an odor of gas.

Fire crews were at the The Promenade Shops at Clifton Tuesday for a report of a gas odor.
They opened the doors to each business at the shopping mall in Clifton to find the source. Crews found a malfunctioning heating unit on the roof of Trinity Rehab that measured high levels of carbon monoxide.
The unit was shut down and the carbon monoxide levels were rechecked for safety. No one was injured.
Businesses at the shopping mall in Clifton have since reopened.
