5h agoThe Meals on Wheels program is a lifeline for homebound seniors.
The program recently got two vans that will bring over one million meals to Nassau County seniors over the next 10 years.
M&T Bank gave a $75,000 grant to the program, which is operated by EAC Network.
Neela Mukherjee Lockel, EAC Network president and CEO said that the vans “are not overloaded with meals” because the drivers do more than just drop off meals.
She said they spend time with the seniors and have “real relationships” with them.
