Long Islander Gabriella Piazza stars in 'The Many Saints of Newark'

The much-anticipated feature film prequel to the groundbreaking HBO drama series "The Sopranos" makes it debut today - and puts a Long Islander in the spotlight.

The much-anticipated feature film prequel to the groundbreaking HBO drama series "The Sopranos" makes it debut today - and puts a Long Islander in the spotlight.
In "The Many Saints of Newark," Hicksville's Gabriella Piazza plays Joanne Maltasanti, the wife of Dickie Maltasanti, played by Amagansett's Alessandro Nivola, and mother to Sopranos character Christopher.
Piazza stars alongside Michael Gandolfini - the son of the late and great James Gandolfini - who plays young Anthony Soprano - who will later come to be known as the all-powerful mob boss Tony Soprano.
"The Many Saints of Newark" premieres today in theatres and on HBO Max.
