A group of Long Islanders gathered at Brentwood State Park to demand justice for Breonna Taylor Sunday.
Protests around the country began last week after a grand jury declined to charge officers in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor.
Taylor was shot multiple times back on March 13 after her boyfriend fired at officers who had entered her Louisville home during a narcotics raid.
Taylor's boyfriend said he didn’t know who was coming in and fired in self-defense, wounding one officer. No drugs were found.
Many in the group protesting say they felt the need to be there Sunday to let Long Island know that there needs to be justice in the Breonna Taylor case.
