The Long Island Game Farm named its renovated Woodland Hall Friday for a fallen police officer from Brookhaven.
NYPD Sgt. Paul Ferrara and his family had been lifetime members of the Manorville farm.
Fellow officers joined his family to commemorate his memories there and to recognize his services.
"He was a sergeant who led by example, he took charge of every job he responded to, he did the best he could to help every single person he ever got in contact with," said NYPD Deputy Inspector John Portalatin.
Ferrara had served in the force for over two decades before dying in 2014 from a 9/11-related cancer.
