Several Starbucks across Long Island are looking to expand their menus by offering alcoholic beverages.
The coffee chain says its new "evenings menu" will include new food items and give customers the option to buy beer and wine.
Some Starbucks locations, including one in Long Beach, have already applied for a liquor license. Neighbors have opposed the plan, citing that the location is frequented by teenagers and sits next to a library.
Starbucks says it is in the very early stages of considering Long Beach for its evenings menu.
