The Long Beach City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to start their beach season earlier.
Following that chaos, the city started enforcement of beach passes seven days a week. Normally, this would not happen until June 27.
The council says they will now be starting their beach season earlier moving forward.
The City Council had been closing the beach from dusk until dawn under an executive order after Thursday’s chaos. Following residents’ complaints at Tuesday’s meeting, the City Council says it will revert the hours back to normal.
