The Long
Island Rail Road has rolled back its most recent round of service cuts today.
The new
timetables are now in effect and will restore service to just over 80% of pre-pandemic levels.
The rollbacks came after a large slash to service was met
with harsh criticism from commuters who were forced to ride crowded trains
during the pandemic.
Chairman of the LIRR Commuter Council Gerry Bringmann is crediting News 12 with helping make those changes happen.
