LIRR announces regular weekday service for Wednesday
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced increased Long Island Rail Road service for Tuesday’s afternoon peak and regular weekday service for Wednesday morning’s commute with some schedule modifications.
According to the MTA:
For Tuesday afternoon: Half-hourly service has been restored on the Ronkonkoma Branch and shuttle trains continue to operate between Jamaica and Grand Central Madison. Two Babylon and one Port Washington branch train will be added for the afternoon peak.
For Wednesday morning: The LIRR will run regular service beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday morning Feb. 25, however customers can expect to see some schedule adjustments due to lingering effects of the historic blizzard, in places. Trains will provide robust service to all three New York City terminals.
