Lindenhurst school superintendent resigns after just 1 year on the job
The Lindenhurst School District superintendent has resigned after just one year on the job.
The district tells News 12 that the school board accepted Anthony Davidson's resignation during a special meeting Monday night.
Deputy Superintendent Vincent Caravana will step up as the interim replacement.
It's unclear why Davidson has left the job.
As News 12 has reported, police say a 12-year-old stabbed a 13-year-old at Lindenhurst Middle School in March. Police say pocketknives were found on district property as well.
