The Lindenhurst School District superintendent has resigned after just one year on the job.
The district tells News 12 that the school board accepted Anthony Davidson's resignation during a special meeting Monday night.
Deputy Superintendent Vincent Caravana will step up as the interim replacement.
It's unclear why Davidson has left the job.
As News 12 has reported, police say
a 12-year-old stabbed a 13-year-old at Lindenhurst Middle School in March. Police say pocketknives were found on district property as well.
