The flurries came and went Friday, but the borough is now preparing for a snowstorm this weekend.

The first snowfall of the year was light and did not cause much difficulties during the morning commute.

However, News 12 meteorologists say the upcoming weekend storm will be much heavier, making for dangerous driving conditions.

Officials advice residents to be prepared by filling up their gas tanks, wearing warm clothes and having a stocked refrigerator.
