Nassau and Suffolk police say they're stepping up security in response to Friday's terrorist attack in Paris.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says state police are also on high alert.
The NYPD says it has no credible threats at the moment, but it has deployed its counterterrorism response command, critical response groups and Hercules teams.
The MTA is increasing security at Penn Station. The Port Authority is adding security at bridges, tunnels and the World trade Center site.
Rep. Lee Zeldin, of the 1st District of New York, tells News 12, "Our intelligence network is doing everything in its power to foil these attacks before they happen."
Zeldin added, "The threat has to be eliminated overseas or we will be facing it more and more here at home."
