A Long Island family is blaming a Plainview veterinarian for the death of their dog.
The Schneiders filed a claim with the state over the death of their terrier, Sydney.
The family says Sydney died because the facility at the Long Island Veterinary Specialists clinic in Plainview "used unqualified and untrained people to perform the procedures related to MRIs.”
The Planview family says the employees used “horrible drugs” for her procedure that weren’t required.
The clinic issued a statement that says that board certified specialists with decades of experience with MRIs are on their staff.
It also says its anesthetic protocols meet all veterinary guidelines.
