More than a dozen Kohl's stores will be closing by the summer. 

The retailer announced it will shut 18 stores. 

It is not identifying locations yet, so it is not clear if any Kohl's on Long Island are affected. 

Profits at Kohl's have stalled in recent years as it battles an overall shift in spending away from department stores.
