The deadly blizzard in Buffalo has affected some Long Islanders and their families' holiday.
Huntington resident Susan Taddonio was supposed to spent Christmas with her daughter Kailey and her new granddaughter in Western New York.
"Not being able to actually travel up there was one thing, but the other thing is imagining her being along with her baby and possibly being stuck in a house without power," Taddonio said.
She says it was also sad for her not to spend her first Christmas with her grandchild.
A total of 1,200 flights were canceled since the storm hit the country.
