Huntington athlete to compete in Special Olympics World Games

Athletes from nearly 200 countries will compete in the Special Olympics World Games in a few days, and one of the stars is from Huntington.
Angel Athenas is a record-breaking, state champion powerlifter who has autism.
This week she's in Abu Dhabi for the 2019 Special Olympics World Games.
As News 12 has reported, Angel won four gold medals last year at the Special Olympics in Seattle.
Angel was adopted in 1992 and through the years, her mom saw firsthand how Angel and athletics meshed.
The World Games are a three-week event. After they end, Angel's new passion will begin: Angel really wants to be a bus boy in a diner.
